
Carla Khalil
Ms. Carla Khalil is a Clinical Neuropsychologist and assessment expert specializing in lifespan neuropsychological and psycho-educational assessments, as well as evidence-based interventions. Her practice is firmly neurodiversity-affirming, ensuring that individuals are understood and supported within the context of their unique strengths, challenges, and identities.
She provides comprehensive evaluations for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults—covering neurodevelopmental, psychiatric, and neurological conditions. In addition to her assessment expertise, Ms. Khalil offers therapy that integrates cognitive remediation, brief psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), and psycho-educational approaches tailored to each client. Her sessions often focus on practical skills development, strengthening cognitive abilities, and promoting resilience through solution-focused strategies that improve quality of life.
Ms. Khalil holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Psychopathology with a specialization in Neuropsychology and Clinical Neurosciences and a Master’s degree in Educational Sciences from Toulouse Jean Jaurès University in France. She is licensed by the ARS (Agence Régionale de Santé) in France and the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) in the UAE.
Her career spans clinical practice, teaching, and research. She has lectured on neuroanatomy and clinical neuropsychology at Toulouse II University and conducted research on autobiographical memory, identity, and cognitive functioning. She has worked across psychiatry, neurology, and geriatrics, with expertise in traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, dementia and other neurodegenerative diseases, cerebrovascular disorders, and psychiatric conditions.
Currently pursuing a PhD on autobiographical memory and identity, Ms. Khalil continues to bridge science and clinical care. She is also a strong advocate for neurodiversity, providing training and guidance for parents, teachers, and caregivers to foster inclusive and supportive environments.
