Data Retention & Deletion
Account and Personal Data
The Aman Lil Afia Patient Mobile Application collects and stores only the personal information reasonably necessary to provide the application’s services, such as patient identification details, contact information, account details, appointment-related information, and limited technical or device information required for secure app functionality.
Users may request deletion of their mobile application account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us at privacy@amanlilafiaclinic.ae.
Upon verification of the request, we will delete, anonymize, or de-identify the personal information maintained specifically for the mobile application within 30 days where reasonably practicable, unless retention is required or permitted for legal, regulatory, healthcare, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, accounting, or compliance purposes.
Deleting a mobile application account may limit or prevent access to mobile application features. Account deletion does not automatically delete medical records that Aman Lil Afia Clinic is required to maintain as a licensed healthcare provider.
Locally Stored Application Data
The application may store limited information locally on the user’s device to support app functionality, session management, preferences, or performance. Users may clear locally stored application data by deleting the application from their device, logging out, clearing app storage through their device settings, or contacting us for assistance where applicable.
Medical Records
The application provides secure access to medical information maintained within Aman Lil Afia Clinic’s Hospital Information Management System or Electronic Medical Record system through secure APIs.
Medical records are not intended to be permanently stored by the mobile application. Limited temporary, cached, or locally stored information may be used where necessary for secure app functionality and is handled in accordance with this policy. These records remain part of the healthcare provider’s official medical record systems.
Because medical records are healthcare records maintained by a licensed healthcare provider, they may be subject to mandatory legal, regulatory, professional, insurance, audit, and medical record retention requirements. As a result, such records may not be deleted upon a mobile application account deletion request where applicable laws, healthcare regulations, or medical record retention policies require their preservation.
Where permitted by applicable law, requests relating to access, correction, restriction, or deletion of medical records must be submitted directly to Aman Lil Afia Clinic. Aman Lil Afia Clinic will review and process such requests in accordance with applicable healthcare, data protection, and regulatory requirements.
Data Retention Period
Personal information is retained only for as long as necessary to provide the application’s services, comply with legal and regulatory obligations, maintain security, prevent fraud or misuse, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Medical records are retained in accordance with applicable UAE healthcare regulations, professional obligations, and statutory retention requirements, unless another jurisdiction’s laws apply to a specific service.

Reasonable measures and efforts are used to comply with the applicable laws and regulations on data and privacy in the United Arab Emirates.
Limitation of Liability
Aman Lil Afia Clinic (including its affiliates, along with their respective directors, officers, employees, representatives or agents) will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by cyber-attacks, viruses or other technologically harmful material that may infect your computer, devices, computer programs, data or other proprietary material due to your use of the Website or your downloading of any material posted on it, or on any third party websites linked to it.
